60 -120 cm, staked Germination 5-21 days Sowing 1cm Harvest +- 90 days after transplant to the garden Successful sowing
Sow in February/March in pots of fine seed soil at only 2-3 mm, in a heated greenhouse (25°C). Water with a sprayer to keep the seedling soil moist but not soggy.
Place the buckets in full light or under a horticultural lamp to prevent your seedlings from spinning upwards. Keep them warm.
Repot into larger pots when seedlings have 2-4 true leaves.
Plant
Transplant the plants to the garden in a light and airy soil when the frosts are no longer to be feared, in hot and sunny exposure at 60 cm on the row and 90cm between the rows. Watering and mulching. Attention, if a contribution of compost is welcome, an excess of nitrogen could involve a strong development of the foliage to the detriment of the fruits.
Peppers need a high temperature for their development. If you live in a cold summer area we strongly recommend greenhouse cultivation.
